She is an Australian Nutritionist, foodie, dancer and keen adventurer currently residing in a little clifftop house on the North Shore. Having studied a Bachelor of Sports and Exercise Science in Melbourne and completing postgraduate study in Human Nutrition, it took a personal journey with disordered eating to bring Bess to greatly appreciate the loveliness and need for true health. Bess is passionate about food education with school-aged kids and adults alike.
“I love the idea of educating people to love good food + appreciate how they fuel themselves.” Bess spent 2 years living in Thailand where she started a café for NFP, Destiny Rescue which sees south-east Asian children rescued from sex trafficking. Here, her passion for teaching food education, cooking and dance as therapy grew, before leading her back to Melbourne, teaching food programs in primary schools and now nutrition consulting in Auckland.
